The Cintropur NW25 is a filter designed to retain particles in water: sand, silt, rust and other suspended matter. Its filter element — the sleeve or filter fabric — must be maintained and replaced regularly according to water quality.
When should the sleeve be replaced?
When it is heavily fouled or clearly discoloured, when the flow gradually drops, when downstream pressure falls or pressure loss becomes significant, when the installation runs on water heavily loaded with particles, or simply because preventive replacement is planned as part of the installation's maintenance.
Which element to use?
For an NW25, Cintropur offers replacement sleeve sets in different filtration grades. The micron rating is chosen according to water quality, the required flow and the equipment downstream: a finer filter is not automatically a better choice. Example: the 25 µm sleeve set for NW25 is referenced FWVC025NW250.

Shut off the water supply
Close the water supply before any work.

Depressurise the filter
Open a downstream tap or use the drain provided to release the pressure in the bowl.

Remove the bowl
Unscrew the NW25 bowl, using the appropriate key if it is hard to open.

Remove the used sleeve
Take out the sleeve or filter fabric and check the condition of the support, the bowl and the seal.

Clean the bowl
Rinse the bowl with clean water and remove any deposits.

Fit the new sleeve
Place the new sleeve correctly on its support.

Check the seal
Make sure the O-ring is clean, correctly positioned and in good condition.

Refit the bowl
Screw the bowl back correctly onto the filter body.

Repressurise gradually
Reopen the water supply slowly to avoid water hammer.

Check the installation
Check for leaks, flow, pressure and the correct position of the sleeve.
Mistakes to avoid
Working on a filter still under pressure. Using the key to tighten the bowl hard. Refitting a dirty, pinched or damaged seal. Always choosing the finest sleeve regardless of flow. Repressurising the installation abruptly. Not checking for leaks after the work.
